Dorothy Campbell
The British Champion, Miss Dorothy Campbell, of North Berwick, Scotland, completed
the first double in women's golf. She defeated Mrs. Ronald H. Barlow, 3 and
2, in the final at the Merion Cricket Club, Haverford, Pa.
Three other British players entered, but the last of these was beaten in the
quarter-finals. Mrs. Fox and the Misses Margaret Curtis and Anita Phipps tied
for the medal with 86s. Miss Campbell won her first match, 10 and 8.
