1915
Florence Vanderbeck
Entries went over 100 for the first time, and 111 played at the Onwentsia
Club, near Chicago. Mrs. C.H. Vanderbeck, of the Philadelphia Cricket Club,
won the medal with another record-equaling 85 and repelled another English challenger,
Mrs. William A. Gavin, in the final, 3 and 2.
Mrs. Vanderbeck had to survive a 22-hole match with Miss Stirling in the semi-finals.
The math was the longest to that time in the Championship.
